Today we are going to paint and get to know each other! I will answer some of your questions while painting and you guys can join me as well and just paint intuitively with me!

I don't have any specific picture in mind, because I just wanted to practice painting just freely, without any expectations. I just wanted to see what the paint and the random brush strokes will tell me!

There were so many questions, so I couldn't use them all, I'm sorry. I tried to combine them and I still had to leave out some of the questions. :( Next time!

I want to challenge you guys to try this out as well and to send me pictures through my social media! I would love to see how your painting will look in the end and if this practice was helpful! Maybe you had some struggles with letting go of the mindset of trying to make this painting as perfect as possible even if you paint it intuitively without any initial idea.

Hey guys! Today I'm going to show you how to create/paint this magical DIY Galaxy Umbrella that is perfect for the fall/autumn season!

► Things you will need:

- Fabric Medium http://amzn.to/1Ke2Sgk * (Use this if you only have acrylic and no fabric paint! I only had acrylic paint, that's why I used this medium to transform my acrylic paint into fabric paint!)
Also make sure to read the instructions of YOUR fabric medium! You can use any, but they might have different ratios!

I recently discovered a Chinese tradition: Sugar Painting! It's a traditional Chinese form of folk art using hot, liquid sugar to create two dimensional figures. Selecting a figure is normally determined by spinning the arrow on a wheel, but since I'm new to this, I wanted to just experiment with sugar and see how I can melt the sugar and then paint the sugar to create homemade candy / homemade lollipops! What I did in the end is more like you would see in spun sugar tutorials and videos for sugar art of baking! If you want to achieve the two dimensional figures as in the example I showed you, you really need to practice!

I was trying to find a good recipe on how to melt sugar to create the perfect mixture to create sugar paintings, but I somehow couldn't find anything except one! Even there they used additional things!

First I will show you how to melt sugar and then how to make colored sugar!

So I decided to use 1 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup of water. Let the sugar dissolve on the stove until it's completely dissolved and then turn the heat higher to cook the sugar until it's slightly brown. Remove it from the stove and pour the liquid sugar into a heat-safe dish like a glass jar for cooking to stop the cooking process. Use a baking sheet and then you can start painting with the sugar using a spoon. Be very careful as the sugar is really hot! Don't burn yourself!

Experimenting with sugar at home and doing science experiments at home are really fun but you should be very careful! You saw how dangerous it can get when the sugar is liquid and super hot!

You can also use food coloring to make DIY colored sugar if you want! It's really cool and you should definitely try it out! You can make colored sugar in any color to create a lollipop in the color of your choice!

Use a spoon to drip the sugar onto the baking sheet! But you can also use the spoon to distribute the sugar on the sheet to create personal sugar designs!

When you created your design, add a skewer on top and add more liquid sugar on top so the stick can glue to the design!

Be sure to make the designs thick and not too delicate as they will break!

You need to work very quickly with liquid sugar as it will harden over time! But melting sugar and making lollipops at home is really fun! It's a great DIY christmas gift that is affordable, customizable and easy to make!

🖌 The first artist hack is great for everyone who worries to mess up their art! We all make mistakes and art is about having fun and expressing yourself! If you paint with acrylic paint, just use some water, sponge, brush and a paper tissue to remove the paint! Super simple artist hack!

💅 The next artist and nail polish hack is perfect for any nail polish lover! It's a super simple nail polish hack that you might not even know about! Ever dropped a nail polish bottle onto the floor? It's pain(t)ful to clean it up! Just use sugar! Pour sugar over the nail polish and start pushing it down and mixing it with the sugar until the nail polish starts to crumble! Now you can easily remove the nail polish from the floor! If there is still a little bit of nail polish left, remove it with nail polish remover if necessary!

🙂 The next simple artist life hack is great if you don't have a light box to transfer your sketches! If you can't use your window, just use a white page on your computer screen! Super easy artist hack for beginners!

✏️ If you want to improve your art, use this simple artist hack! It's a pencil or charcoal drawing transfer hack! Just use charcoal or pencil to rub it onto the backside of the reference. Next place it onto a second piece of paper and firmly press the pencil down to transfer the guidelines!

🖍 The last simple hack is for when you want to clean your erasers! Just use a nail file and file away all the dirty parts! Now you can easily erase the pencil without any pesky pencil residue!

Hey guys! This video is all about DIY Bookmarks & Watercolor DIY Techniques for Beginners! Perfect for book lovers & for Back to School! I will show you how to make Watercolor Bookmarks using different Watercolor Painting Techniques & Watercolor Hacks to keep this Watercolor Tutorial easy!

In this DIY Bookmark video I will show you 6 DIY watercolor bookmark design ideas using different watercolor techniques and watercolor hacks such as rubbing alcohol, salt, plastic wrap, (white ink) pens, rice and masking fluid to create beautiful abstract DIY watercolor paintings as bookmarks!

#1 Watercolor Technique: Plastic Wrap/Cling

For the first watercolor technique you need plastic wrap! Add paint in the color of your choice to the wet paper and make it run into each other. While the paint is still wet, place the plastic wrap on top and press it down. Move the folds around to create a unique design. Before you can remove the foil, let it completely dry. When you remove it, you will get a unique and abstract watercolor painting!

#2 Watercolor Technique: Rice

Using rice is another great watercolor technique. First create any watercolor design you like. Here I created a gradient ombre effect using a flat brush and distributed red paint starting at the top while moving downwards and washing the brush a little bit. While the paint is still wet, place the rice on top. The rice will soak up the water and create a really interesting pattern!

#3 Watercolor Technique: Salt

For the next watercolor design use salt and sprinkle it over your wet painting little by little! The salt will do magic! Don't add to much! Play around with the amount! Let the painting dry and then remove the salt! And you get a beautiful, frosty looking watercolor painting!

#4 Watercolor Technique: Masking Fluid

Using masking fluid is another great watercolor technique for beginners! With a brush apply the fluid around the outline of your image or on top to add details! Let it dry and then you can paint! The masking fluid will protect the paper from the paint. So when the painting is dry, you can rub or peel it off and these areas will be white! Using masking fluid is great because you don't have to worry painting inside the line and you can just let the paint swim around!

#5 Watercolor Technique: Rubbing Alcohol

Another watercolor technique is using rubbing alcohol! Add paint to the paper to create a design you like and then drop the alcohol on top. This way you create unique circle designs! Make sure the paint is not too wet or the circles that the alcohol creates, will swim back!

#6 Watercolor Technique: White Ink Pen

I love using white ink pens with watercolor paintings. Draw over any painting you created and create any design you like! Be sure to get a pen that is visible on darker colours!

Hey guys! I have another Art Challenge for you: Painting with Nail Polish! I'm going to create a Christmas tree painting using Nail Polish! There are different Art Challenge ideas out there, like drawing with makeup, but I wanted to try how it is to paint with Nail Polish and how to use cosmetics as art supplies to create easy Nail Polish Art that you can hang up your wall to decorate your room! But it is also a unique and original idea for a Last Minute Christmas or Birthday Gift for your friends and family!

There are a lot of videos about nail polish DIYs, nail polish art, nail polish designs and nail polish hacks, but I haven't seen that many videos about how to paint with nail polish to create nail polish art that you can actually use to decorate your room! And since it's Christmas and Holiday time, I decided it would be a fun idea for an art challenge to try out this new art challenge and paint using nail polish!

In this DIY Bookmark video I will show you another 6 DIY watercolor bookmark design ideas using different watercolor techniques & watercolor hacks such as different stencils, masking fluid alternatives, acrylic paint, glazing, lifting, wax resist / crayons, bubble wrap & more to create beautiful abstract & unique DIY watercolor paintings as bookmarks!

#1 Lifting technique
For the first watercolor technique you will need watercolors, tissue paper and a coin or a pen! You can basically use any object with a flat surface. Load up your wet brush with paint and apply it over the wet area. This technique is called wet on wet or wet in wet. It is great to great dreamy and loose transitions between colours. Wrap the tissue paper around your coin so the tissue is flat and then press it down and lift it. And you should get a paint free area!

#2 Glazing
The next watercolor technique is great to adjust the tone and colours of your watercolor painting. Apply a thin layer of paint over the dry layer of watercolor paint. Here I used yellow colored paint to add warmth to the painting!

#3 Stencils
Stencils are another great way to create unique watercolor paintings. You can use the lifting technique and a stencil or acrylic paint that you dab over the stencil by using a sponge brush or a brush. If you use the lifting technique, take a clean wet brush and make several brush strokes over the area where you want to lift the watercolor. Wipe the watercolor from your brush onto a dampened tissue paper and repeat the step. You can also dab on the tissue and lift some of the paint to remove and lift more paint, rinse off your brush again and repeat the steps. This technique is great for removing any watercolor mistakes, making the colour lighter or for interesting designs!

#4 Bubble wrap
For the next technique you will need bubble wrap! Apply some paint in the colours of your choice using a wet brush and then place the bubble wrap on top. Carefully press it down and let it completely dry. When it's completely dry, you can peel it off and you get a unique pattern!

#5 Wax resistant
Using crayons for watercolor paintings is another great idea to create unique designs. It's another alternative to masking fluid! Draw a pattern or letters and then reveal the design by applying watercolor on top!

#6 Layering
The next technique is all about layering. Since watercolor is naturally rather transparent, you can play around with the opacity by layering different colours. Here I created different coloured circles by using bright colours that I mixed with lots of water to get a bright layer of paint!
